ECG develops a variety of written and electronic documents to assist the communities in following regulations and standards, human resource administration and benchmarking. The benchmarking initiative has been very successful in providing a means by which the participants compare themselves to other utilities, find strengths and weaknesses and a tool for goal setting.
Each year ECG publishes a directory of participants that is funded by contractors and consultants. The cover of the 2009 directory honors the creation of ECG.
